Gone are the days, when we showed loved towards people, gone are the moments, when we showed empathy to pets and birds. It's time for a revolution, (at least that's what people feel), a revolution that is dependent on the technological advancements and cyber spaces.
If intelligent people started earning money on the basis of the time we spent on our mobile phones, global business started focussing on our technological dependence. We may improve our lives by saving our time, but not in our values, ethics and relations. If humans get more satisfaction through technological advancements, then the life expectancy rate would definitely improve. But the results show otherwise. Our life's getting restless and unsatisfied.
My personal experience of dependence on one such advancement is the University Management System. A one stop solution to a plethora of problems has been developed in its shape. Every minuscule announcement, about classes, holidays, presents or even the life changing details like placements were through the ums. I remember the day, when we sat all night trying to book our hostels. I also remember the news of getting placed came through a notification on the ums. The list attached gave us the winners of our fates in our college lives. All these moments turned into memories just when our ums ids were deactivated as it was time for our departure.
We seldom feel the importance of a something present in our hand and when find the positions those things can take us to, we get dumbstruck. I remember one of my friends preaching me that a pen can lead me to a position I can never think of. I also get that if we can respect anything that serves us, we will be served too.
